Our team had been to Olde Bangalore Resort on 19.12.2007.
This resort is 2 KMs inside when you take a left immediately after ITC factory on Bangalore-Hyderabad NH-7. This is one of the good resorts close to Bangalore.
We instantly fell in love with this simple but elegant resort. We liked everything about this resort, the location, food, ambience, staff and the Eco-friendly building.

Our team went to the Olde Bangalore Resort recently. Infact, your post inspired us to go there.
Well, it was a good resort, with very new furniture, nice flooring, wall murals etc., We liked the name and their concept seemed nce..their website gave us a lot of information..but we did have a few problems on our trip:
1) the road to the resort is not good..we went through a village and got lost in the process.
2) they do not have good staff..they do not understand english and most of the time we were searching for people to take care of us there.
3) They do have a big swimming pool, but it wasnt clean and smelt of chlorine.The man in charge of the pool smiled at us sheepishly when asked about the dirt.
4) The food is also average...nothing great at all..infact some dishes were bland and we had to ask for extra salt :)
The only thing nice is the building, as its new,which you will anyway find in plenty in the city itself..no need to drive all the way to a resort to be cocooned inside a building..Anyways overall an average experience...our group has been to better places :)

Thanks for your comment. It is really surprising to know about your experience. We were a big team of more than 150 people on that day and majority of them liked the service and food. We did not use the pool though.
Guess a lot can change over time :)

We had just been to Olde Bangalore recently but our experience has been wonderful.We felt the ambience was extra-ordinary.Also the staff seemed very warm and well trained.Importantly the food and services were liked by us all.We had a residential conference and were there for four days.In fact we are looking forward to going back soon!

Really surprised to read Rekha's comments.....Infact, we are pretty regular at Olde Bangalore and visit this place quite often....all because of its positive features.
Place is great...So close to the nature and environment friendly.
Staff is so warm and polite....infact well trained
Food is great and you can always ask for your personal choices.
Tea Bar has so many varities to offer...(Infact i always pick up their speciality tea potli's_
Ambience ans sports facilities are good too.
Overall its a quite an amazing place and everytime we visit, we find sometime some new attraction.
Looking forward to spend a weekend in their luxurious tented cottages.
